The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, spoke candidly about the difficulties of life after cancer treatment during a visit to Colchester Hospital in Essex on Wednesday. “You put on a brave face during treatment,” the Princess explained, “and when it’s done, you think you can get back to normal. But the aftermath is really difficult.”
She emphasized the challenges of adjusting to a “new normal” after leaving the direct care of clinical teams, acknowledging that it “takes time” and is rarely a smooth process. “It’s a roller-coaster,” she admitted.
