On Monday, a 15-year-old girl suffered traumatic injuries after being thrown from a moving golf cart in Anna Maria, according to AMI Sun. The accident happened near the intersection of North Shore Drive and Spring Avenue. Witnesses say it all happened so fast. One second, everything was fine. The next, emergency crews were scrambling to save a young life.
West Manatee Fire Rescue found the teen lying on her side in front of the cart. She was alert but clearly in distress. Her breathing was labored, and she was spitting up blood. First responders quickly stabilized her on a backboard and got her ready for the chopper to Tampa General Hospital.
