GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Guests to the Sweet House on Fulton Street in Grand Rapids can soon enjoy a limited performance run of “Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy: Chapter Two,” a night of macabre storytelling and craft cocktails.
The event, which is a sequel to last year’s sold-out Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy performances at Sweet House, features four stories from the acclaimed American author’s books and novellas — The Cask of Amontillado, Annabel Lee, The Pit and the Pendulum and The Fall of the House of Usher — alongside four uniquely crafted cocktails themed for each story.

“They are very good cocktails,” said Sue Pemberton, consultant for Sweet House. “We’ve even used their same recipes when we have had events here for a special occasion.”
