Popular Lititz ice cream shop floods twice, wiping out inventory before 4th of July

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A beloved ice cream shop in Lititz dealing with major flooding after storms wiped out the store’s inventory just days away from the fourth of July.

Greco’s Homemade Ice Cream and Italian Ices was hit hard Monday when thunderstorms touched down in Lancaster County. CBS 21’s Alex Thill went to the business to check on clean-up efforts and spoke to the owner, Hamzah Grecos.

“Our first gut instinct was obviously get all the electricals off the ground save as much product as we can, thinks like that,” said Grecos, describing what it was like walking into his businesses and seeing the damage. “We had about 6 squeegees in here just pushing water. It’s a process to move water a couple feet. I learned that the hard way yesterday”…
