Update: Marble-sized hail expected with thunderstorms in Michigan Wednesday

An updated report from the National Weather Service was issued on Wednesday at 5:38 p.m. EDT for strong thunderstorms until 6:30 p.m. EDT for Saginaw, Shiawassee and Genesee counties.

The storms are foreseen to bring marble-sized hail (0.5 inches) and wind gusts of up to 40 mph.

“At 5:37 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a cluster of strong thunderstorms over Beecher back to Marion Springs, moving southeast at 35 mph,” says the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.”…
