CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) — The Horry County Animal Care Center and local veterinarians at Meadowlawn Animal Services in Conway are advising pet owners to be prepared for animal anxiety from fireworks over the holiday weekend.
Associate veterinarian Elizabeth Heim, who’s worked as a veterinarian for over four years, said due to the loud “boom” from fireworks, the unknown loud noise can tend to trigger dogs’ anxiety.
