ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – A developer in Roanoke County is moving forward with plans to build between 100 and 120 single-family homes on the old Poage Farm property off Poage Valley Road. The original plan for the property has been tweaked over the last few months.
The 15-acre property was originally purchased by Roanoke County as a potential site for a new school, but was later sold to ABoone Real Estate.
ABoone Real Estate had originally planned to rezone the property and build a mix of townhomes and commercial business sites there. However, after that plan was met with some opposition from neighbors, the plan was changed to only include single-family homes…
