A trove of photos reintroduces a Savannah photographer to his grandson and community

When Eddie Rahn was cleaning out his late parents’ home, he stumbled upon a treasure trove overflowing with family history. Among the items in the Rahn home were piles of black-and-white photographs, a scrapbook stuffed with newspaper clippings, a pristine color home movie from 1940, and movies and photos from World War II.

Amazingly enough, Rahn even found photographs of the exhumation of Button Gwinnett’s grave.
