Evidence gathering in the investigation of 13-year-old Kei’mani Latigue’s disappearance and death in March is nearly done, prosecutors said during a court appearance Wednesday for her father, charged with raping, killing, and mutilating her.
“There are still a few supplemental reports we are waiting on, and one expert report,” Jennifer Liptack-Wilson, chief of criminal prosecution for the Lucas County Prosecutor’s Office, told Judge Michael Goulding in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.
David Klucas, the lead defense lawyer for Darnell Jones, 42, said he expects to file a constitutional motion now “under construction” within about two weeks, while Ann Baronas, sitting second for the defense, said they are considering adding a third lawyer to the team representing Jones in the capital case and have settled on Morgan Eisenberg to propose for that role…
