City of St. George begins moving into new administrative headquarters

ST. GEORGE, La. (WAFB) – On Tuesday, July 1, the swearing-in ceremony for all of the St. George leaders was held at the Grace Life Fellowship Church. This comes on the same day that city employees started working out of their new office building.

The building is 20,000 square feet and has three different areas that will be dedicated to different divisions of government. Since the move-in just started, the offices haven’t been divvied up yet, but they have dedicated one area of the building to be the future city council chambers.

St. George Mayor, Dustin Yates, says all of the city employees will work out of this office building located right off of Coursey Boulevard. Currently, they have about 35 employees, but Yates says as they continue to sign contracts and get the city set up with services, there will be more hires…
