It’s been about a month since we gave you the information that members of the FBI, Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, Columbia Heights Police Department, and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension were searching an Elk River landfill for clues into the disappearance of a Twin Cities boy. After several weeks of rain and extreme heat, the search is still ongoing.
A Joint Statement From The Sheriff’s Office & Police Department
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbia Heights Police last week put out statements in regards to the search for a missing Twin Cities boy, Manny Collins.
“The search at the Elk River Landfill relating to the disappearance of Manny Collins is progressing. Understandably, Manny’s loved ones, as well as the greater community, have many questions. We strive to share as much as we can with all who care for Manny. However, releasing too much information prematurely could jeopardize the investigation. Numerous local, state, and federal agencies remain strongly invested in this investigation and are combing through evidence. While the seriousness of this disappearance doesn’t make it easy, please be patient with us as we navigate through this investigation.” – Sheriff Wise
