Learning how to make “Fireworks in a Bottle” for kids this 4th of July

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — With the Fourth of July just days away we thought it would be fun to learn some fun holiday-themed science experiments with the kids from STEM NOLA.

WGNO’s Kenny Lopez learned how to make “fireworks in a bottle.”

STEM NOLA’s Senior Program Coordinator Devin Floyd and 8-year old kid scientist Nadia Gaines are teaching us how to make the “fireworks in a bottle.”

Gaines said, “First you’ll need some antacid, Alka-Seltzer and we are going to need food coloring.”
