Chaos briefly gripped a Brooklyn Park neighborhood last night as police responded to a weapons complaint involving multiple individuals. Officers from the Brooklyn Park Police Department were dispatched around 9:00 p.m. to the 5700 block of Brookdale Drive N after reports surfaced of adult males brandishing a firearm. The situation escalated when a vehicle, thought to be connected to the incident, was stopped by the police. At the same time, a second vehicle suspected of involvement was spotted leaving the area.
An ensuing traffic stop in the 7700 block of Scott Ave N led to a dramatic chase when an adult male passenger bolted from a vehicle. In response, law enforcement set up a perimeter and deployed both a K-9 unit and a drone, which extended police presence throughout the neighborhood.
