Plane Crash at New Jersey Airport Injures Five

A skydiving plane crashed at Cross Keys Airport in Monroe Township, New Jersey, on Wednesday evening. The Cessna 208B was taking off around 5:30 p.m. when it went off the end of the runway. Fifteen people were on board at the time of the incident.

Gloucester County Emergency Management described the situation as a “mass casualty incident” and confirmed that multiple agencies responded to the scene. Five individuals were transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden with injuries. The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.

Cross Keys Airport primarily serves private passenger planes. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident. Local officials asked the public to avoid the area surrounding the airport.
