BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two people were arrested in Delano June 27 after police found a firearm and drugs in their vehicle, according to the Delano Police Department.
On June 27, Delano police officers conducted an operation in the city targeting drug and gang activity, officials said.
At around 6:45 p.m., officers stopped a purple Volkswagen Beetle in the 1800 block of Garces Highway for alleged Vehicle Code violations. Luis Alverto Rojas, 34, of Corcoran, was the driver and Elisavet Avila Gamino, 32, of Delano, was a passenger.
