Four Suspects, Including Three Juveniles, Arrested for Attempted Carjacking in Indianapolis

An armed carjacking attempt on Wilkins Street, in Indianapolis, was disrupted after the culprits were unable to start the vehicle. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) revealed that officers from their Southwest District responded to the 2200 block of Wilkins Street on the evening of Tuesday following a report of the attempted carjacking. The suspects, three of whom are juveniles and one identified as 18-year-old Jack Carcamo, were apprehended shortly after the attempted crime.

According to a social media post from IMPD News, an officer spotted four males fitting the suspects’ descriptions just after the attempted carjacking took place. The individuals were all wearing facemasks and were allegedly armed with an handgun when they tried to steal the vehicle. Upon attempted to approach the group, the suspects fled on foot but were quickly detained with the help of an IMPD K9 unit and perimeter containment by officers.
