Additional Showers Some Thunder Overnight

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Some ongoing flooding issues continue. Parts of the viewing area saw over 2-4 inches of rain from storms during Tuesday afternoon and evening. Remember to Never Cross Flooded Roadways – “Turn Around, Don’t Drown.” Additional showers and some thunder will carry into the late night and early morning hours of Wednesday. An approaching cold front has triggered the more widespread showers and storms.

This front will just slowly move across the region Wednesday, so some showers and clouds to start the day. A stray shower or storm still possible for the afternoon. The late week will not be as humid, with seasonable temperatures in the 80s to around 90. Looking good for the July 4th Independence Day Holiday and weekend. Turning more humid by early next week, along with the return of storms.
