A Montgomery man has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison on gun charges.
Taboris Ladale Mock, 33, has been sentenced to 168 months in federal prison for illegally possessing firearms as a convicted felon, said Acting United States Attorney Kevin Davidson. The sentence was handed down July 1, following Mock’s guilty plea to two counts of unlawful firearm possession. There is no parole in the federal system.
According to his plea agreement and other court records, at about 3:25 a.m. on Sept. 28, 2024, deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire in the parking lot of a business on Wetumpka Highway.
