‘Life is more comfortable,’ Grand Strand woman says after winning $100K lottery prize

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A Grand Strand woman says she was “shocked” after realizing she had won $100,000 on a $3 scratch-off lottery ticket.

The woman told South Carolina Education Lottery officials that she was sitting on her front porch when she scratched off the winning Lady Jumbo Bucks Crossword ticket she bought at the Minuteman Food Mart on Belle Terre Boulevard in Myrtle Beach. She said she ran inside her house to get a highlighter and marked through 11 words on her ticket.

“Life is more comfortable,” she told lottery officials, and it’s not as stressful.”…
