FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A man who was crossing a Fort Pierce road in a wheelchair has died Thursday morning after being struck by pickup truck.
According to the Fort Pierce Police Department (FPPD), the man was crossing U.S. Hwy. 1 near the Virginia Avenue intersection around 6 a.m. when the southbound truck hit him.
Emergency crews rushed the man to a local hospital where he later died…
