SALEM, Va. (WDBJ) – Some Salem residents are pushing for the city to do more to preserve the city’s history after two historic homes were demolished last week.
The city tore down two old homes on city-owned properties on East Main Street. Now some city residents are speaking out and seeking changes that allow for the preservation of more of Salem’s historic homes and neighborhoods.
“In Salem, there is a historic district in our downtown and there is North Broad Street, a neighborhood historic district.
