On the eve of the 4th of July, New York is at risk of more storms and severe weather on Thursday afternoon, with strong gusts of more than 58mph expected.
The severe thunderstorms are predicted to be isolated as well as scattered, and could sweep across the Tri-State area, causing hazards such as power outages and fallen trees.
A Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather has been issued by the National Weather Service ahead of an approaching cold front, and widespread wind gusts exceeding 58 mph are the biggest threat to watch out for.
