Georgia Power base rates to freeze through at least 2028

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – The Georgia Public Service Commission (PSC) approved a plan on July 1, 2025, to keep Georgia Power base rates “stable and predictable through at least the end of 2028,” according to a press release from Georgia Power.

Storm costs, including the impact of Hurricane Helene, were not discussed and will be addressed in a separate proceeding.
