High bacteria levels close nearly 30 Mass. beaches ahead of Fourth of July

More than two dozen beaches in Massachusetts are closed to swimmers ahead of the Fourth of July due to high bacteria levels.

As of Thursday, there were 26 beaches closed across the Bay State, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s interactive beach water quality dashboard.
