Austin is a city full of venues — music venues, hotels, bars, clubs, galleries — but it doesn’t have a ton of dedicated wedding venues. Luckily, a transformation of the longtime Austin restaurant Iguana Grill has added a new option the short list, as Union Pointe on the Lake opens with the same famous Lake Travis views.
The modern waterfront venue has an upscale feel, both indoors and outdoors, and can also be used for other private events and community gatherings. It’s tucked away along the shoreline of Lake Travis (about 30 minutes from downtown Austin), where the Old Austin favorite Iguana Grill resided for two decades before closing in 2016.
