Former Northwest Arkansas doctor accused of Medicaid fraud arrested again in Benton County

ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Dr. Brian Hyatt, a former Arkansas State Medical Board member accused of Medicaid fraud, has once again been arrested, according to booking records.

Hyatt, 52, was booked into the Benton County Detention Center on July 3 on DWI, possession of an open container containing alcohol in a motor vehicle, and refusal to submit to a chemical test charges.

His latest arrest comes after prosecutors called for Hyatt to be banned from drinking alcohol following a June public intoxication arrest.

In the request, the special prosecutor assigned to Hyatt’s Medicaid fraud case said Hyatt should be “prohibited from indulging in intoxicating liquors, required to allow an ignition interlock device to be installed in the vehicle he routinely drives, and prohibited from driving any other vehicle in an attempt to avoid said device.”…
