Maryland man charged in DC robberies where he sprayed fire extinguishers at store clerks

WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — A Maryland man is being charged in a series of armed robberies in which he sprayed a fire extinguisher on clerks at different stores across D.C.

Detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) investigated the robberies, and on May 1, 2024, a D.C. Superior Court issued an arrest warrant for Rahman Barnes, 42, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
