RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – It’s happened just a few times in decades, but big problems in a Rio Rancho neighborhood got wrecking crews demolishing a home Wednesday just weeks after the city filed to do so.
It’s a decision that isn’t common. “For context, we’ve only had to address 10 nuisance properties in the past 20 years. So, it’s something that’s very rare that ends up coming to the governing body,” said Karissa Culbreath, Rio Rancho City Councilor.
