Summerville man arrested after threatening to ‘blow up’ solicitor’s office

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — A 33-year-old Summerville man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly threatening to “blow up” the First Circuit Solicitor’s Office last month.

The individual made the threat after being told during a June 25 phone call with an office staffer that his request to have his criminal record expunged could not be completed, according to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said the solicitor’s office closed for the day, and all employees were sent home as a precaution…
