Jessie Wilson, a Phenix City native climbing her way to country star fame, is set to perform for the 4th of July celebration being held at the Phenix City Amphitheater. Wilson is among some of the musicians performing at the celebration, alongside Taylor Hunnicut and Ivey Jones & The Rosehill Band.
Gates open at 4 p.m. EDT, but the live music will begin at 5 p.m. EDT. Attendees of the event can also expect free admission, a beer garden, food trucks, and an exciting fireworks show.
“I always loved music. I grew up doing karaoke at home and restaurants, and just always kind of had a natural gift for singing and writing songs,” said Wilson. “I taught myself to play guitar in high school, and always connected to it in a deeper way. It’s always been there for me and has been a great outlet to express myself.”…
