SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Dr. Jeanette Epps is returning to Syracuse for a special event.
On Thursday, October 16, Dr. Jeanette Epps, retired NASA astronaut and Syracuse native, will serve as the keynote speaker at The Salvation Army’s 54th Annual Civic Celebration Luncheon at the Oncenter Convention Center located at 800 S State St. in Syracuse. The event will run from noon until 1:30 p.m.
This celebration is an opportunity to honor those who support The Salvation Army’s mission, recognize individuals making a lasting impact and celebrate the lives transformed by the organization’s wide-reaching programs.
In March 2024, Epps launched aboard NASA’s SpaceX Crew-8 mission and spent nearly eight months aboard the International Space Station as a flight engineer.
