CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Thursday marked the first of 3 days this year all Iowans can set off fireworks no matter their city or county ordinances. That’s because of a new state law protecting firework enthusiasts in an effort to boost celebrations for the country’s 250th birthday.
TV9 saw a steady flow of customers browse through the Iowa Fireworks Company tent on 1st, everyone eager to take advantage of the law change.
