CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Police officers in Sinton are trading pens for processors, becoming one of the first departments in South Texas to fully integrate artificial intelligence into their report-writing process.
Instead of spending nearly an hour typing up reports, officers are now using a system called Peach Safety, an AI platform tailored for law enforcement. The software helps streamline the process, allowing officers to dictate their reports and have the system edit, proofread and format them for submission.
Officer Jason Wilson said that before the new system, reports would take him around 45 minutes to complete. Now, he can knock one out in as little as 10 minutes…
