Elderly dog euthanized after being left outside in Joliet without food, water

JOLIET, Ill. — A Joliet woman was charged after allegedly leaving her elderly Labrador retriever outside in the heat without food and water. It had to be euthanized later.

Kerrie Swick, 58, is facing a charge of aggravated animal cruelty after police responded to her home in the 500 block of Springwood Drive on Wednesday morning after 9:30 a.m.
