Developer pushes Lemmon Valley warehouse project after unanimous denial in 2021

LEMMON VALLEY, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Four years after the Reno City Council unanimously rejected a master-planned housing community near Swan Lake, developer Lansing-Arcus LLC is restarting efforts to build on the controversial site in Lemmon Valley.

Plans filed with the city of Reno show developers intend to pitch a mostly industrial project this time around, with 225 acres of warehouses and just 92 acres of residential.

The overall project is a fraction of what was pitched in 2021 — a 1,500-acre project dubbed ‘Prado Ranch’ that was located on both city and unincorporated Washoe County land…
