Five protected geese killed in roadside shooting
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Five federally protected Canada geese were killed in a roadside shooting at a wildlife rehab center in Indianapolis, according to Providence Wildlife Rehabilitation.
“What you did is inexcusable,” the nonprofit’s Spokesperson Meghan Burns-Landry said. “It is cruel. This is an injustice to the geese that were killed, that were really important to our mission of education.”
Burns-Landry says Chester, Helen, Chloe, Pink and Duck were killed. The geese were “ambassadors to wildlife” at the rehab center on the northwest side of the city. News 8 first reported on the deaths on Wednesday…
