Construction halfway complete on new Crisis Care Center in Lansing

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Construction is halfway complete on the new Crisis Care Center in Lansing. The Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties (CMHA-CEI) is turning the former McLaren Greenlawn campus into a behavioral health facility, focusing on crisis care.

According to the CMHA-CEI, the new facility will be open for business by the summer of 2026. The Crisis Care Center is a dedicated space for adults, youth, and families facing behavioral health emergencies. There are three levels to the building.

The ground level will have a 24/7 walk-in urgent care. There will be screenings, referrals, and crisis intervention services available at this level. Patients can stay up to 23 hours for observation…
