ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Freedom Fourth at Balloon Fiesta Park tops the many ways to celebrate the Fourth of July – Independence Day – this year in New Mexico.
Gates open at 3 p.m. for Freedom Fourth. You’ll want to get there at about that time as traffic can get heavy and good spots fill up quickly. You’ll also want to get there quickly as there is a full slate of artists performing, leading up to country singer Hunter Hayes’ headlining show and fireworks:
- 4 pm- The Danny Duran Band
- 5:15 pm- La Ansiedad Norteña
- 6:30 pm- Michael Moxey and The Easy Sinners
- 7:30 pm- 4th of July Ceremony
- 7:45 pm- Hunter Hayes
- 9:15 pm- Fireworks

There is also the Albuquerque Isotopes baseball game against the El Paso Chihuahuas. They will have pre-game autographs and a post-game fireworks show. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the game starts at 7…
