Update: Prepare for strong thunderstorms in Southeast Michigan early Friday evening

An updated report was issued from the National Weather Service on Friday at 3:38 p.m. EDT for strong thunderstorms until 4:15 p.m. EDT for Livingston, Oakland and Washtenaw counties.

Residents can be ready for wind gusts of up to 40 mph.

“At 3:38 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm near Brighton, moving east at 15 mph,” states the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.”…
