2 charged after more than 180 animals found at Alabaster home

ALABASTER, Ala. (WBRC) – Two people are facing first-degree animal cruelty charges after authorities discovered 180 animals living in poor conditions at a home in Alabaster.

According to police, 177 dogs and nine cats were removed from the property. Of those, 119 dogs and all nine cats were euthanized due to severe health issues.

The investigation began when Alabaster Animal Control officers were responding to an unrelated call in the neighborhood. Nearby residents alerted them to dogs in visible distress…
