Man on pre-trial release arrested for threatening store clerk with a mop handle

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – D’Andre Vanshon Jemel Anderson, 29, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly threatening a convenience store clerk with a mop handle.

At about 7:55 p.m. on July 2, a Gainesville Police Department officer responded to the Circle K at 1515 N. Main Street, where the clerk said Anderson had knocked merchandise on the floor, jumped behind the sales counter, and held a mop handle over his head in a threatening manner.
