GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Larry Gibbs feels like he is a prisoner to the weather forecast.

Every time it rains or snows, he has to fill his basement with towels and fans to prevent water leaks from feeding the black mold that has infested the lower half of his house.

A massive city water main break that flooded Gibbs’ home last summer left his crawlspace riddled with mold that he can’t get rid of. He’s paid thousands for professional mold removal, but it keeps coming back as water continues to leak in through the same cracks where the flood rushed in when the water main broke…
