Local Officials Urge Parents to Use ‘Baby in the Back’ Tags This Summe

Tennessee – With Tennessee temps soaring, state officials are reminding parents to take extra precautions to prevent tragic hot car deaths. The free “Baby in the Back” hangtag—available through the Tennessee Secretary of State—acts as a visual cue to check the backseat before locking up. Nearly 600,000 Tennesseans have already requested these tags. The program is backed by the Tennessee Hospital Association, Tennessee Sheriffs’ Association, and other public safety partners.
