‘A huge loss to our community’: Woman dies following Oglethorpe Mall shooting

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — A woman died late Thursday or early Friday morning from heart complications ‘exacerbated’ by the Oglethorpe Mall shooting on Wednesday, according to the Savannah Police Department (SPD).

Olislene “Tina” Smith was shopping Wednesday when the shooting took place, according to The Eichholz Law Firm. WSAV has confirmed with police that Smith was one of the three people taken to the hospital for non-gunshot related injuries. Three others were taken to the hospital for gunshot wounds, police said.
