Sardi’s to Open Five New Maryland Locations

Sardi’s Pollo A La Brasa, founded in 2008 by cousins Phil E. Sardelis and Phil G. Sardelis from Montgomery County, has recently announced plans to expand with five new locations in Maryland. Despite their Greek roots, the cousins shared a deep appreciation for Peruvian cuisine and envisioned a warm space where families could come together to savor fresh, authentic dishes.

The first Sardi’s Pollo A La Brasa opened its doors in Beltsville, Maryland (Prince George’s County) during the summer of 2008 and quickly gained fame for its “pollo a la brasa,” a blackened rotisserie chicken that hails from Lima, Peru, dating back to the 1950s. To ensure the utmost authenticity, the founders even traveled to Peru to recruit skilled chefs.

We spoke with owner Phil Sardelis who shared with us that new locations will be coming within the next year to Loehmann’s Plaza in Rockville (Montgomery County), New Carrollton (Prince George’s County), Frederick (Frederick County), Annapolis (Anne Arundel County), and Waldorf (Charles County)…
