Law enforcement asks you to have a plan before you drink and drive this Fourth of July

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — In New York State, 1,200 people were charged with a DWI during the Fourth of July Weekend in 2024, according to Governor Kathy Hochul’s Office.

This is a holiday that commonly involves the consumption of alcohol. Police and legal officials’ best advice to avoid driving under the influence is to create a plan before the drinking begins.
