TOLEDO, Ohio — While Americans across the country gathered for fireworks and barbecues on Independence Day, Toledoans came together in the city’s South End to honor a different kind of tradition.
The annual Party in the Park at Harvard Circle is a decades-old celebration rich in local history and community spirit, according to former Toledo Mayor Carty Finkbeiner, a regular attendee.
