Community shows up for local lemonade vendor

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – A local nonprofit and group of riders came together Wednesday night to support an 8 year old local girl who opened up a lemonade stand.

“I just hope that more people see that just going to a lemonade stand, that will brighten up somebody’s day”, said Roxanne Guerrero, Founder of the Texas Lady Riders.

According to a post online, Chantelle Gonzales’ daughter has Autism, and after seeing lemonade stands around the community, wanted to open her own. Gonzales wanted to make sure that if they hosted one, people would show up. So the Texas Lady Riders met at Roxanne’s house, and traveled over to the lemonade stand to show their support. Guerrero says “the smallest thing that can be to us, can be the greatest thing to the little kid”.

We’re told that the young lady plans to use the money for fireworks and dolls and also plans to open up more lemonade stands in the future…
