Raines Academy to continue flexible school day program for nontraditional Katy ISD students

Raines Academy will continue to offer a flexible school day program to help Katy ISD students finish high school during the 2025-26 school year after trustees voted unanimously to renew the state’s Optional Flexible School Day Program, or OFSDP, at the June 23 meeting.

Raines Academy supports approximately 550-750 students per year through flexible schedules, innovative programs, hybrid and virtual courses, and hands-on career certifications. These students are drawn from the 10 Katy ISD high schools and the Miller Career Center, Principal Richard Merriman said…
