St. Louis police to cite parents for their children’s firework use

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis police say parents will be cited if their child is caught using fireworks during the holiday.

For the first time, police will take juveniles into custody for the illegal explosives. Parents will be cited when they collect their child from the station, with additional citations if they arrive late.

“Downtown St. Louis is not a playground, and it is not a designated drop-off site for your children.
